I love living in the Cotswolds. The countryside is beautiful, life is more relaxed, but even more so we have a wealth of fantastic independent food producers! We try to use as many local products in our baking as possible, including Netherend Farm Butter, Shipton Mill Flour, Purton House Organic Free Range Eggs, fruit and other ingredients from local producers, farms, farmer’s markets and of course our own garden!
Amongst my foodie adventures in the Cotswolds, I have had the pleasure to meet the very lovely Ben Vear, from the family-run and Cotswold favourite, Winstones Ice-Cream. I certainly have an appreciation for the most fabulous ice-cream in the county, region… country! And it was with great pleasure, that we created a cake for Ben’s Mum’s Birthday earlier this year. There was only one sort of cake that we could do….
