Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards 2011

We were over the moon in July to be awarded the honour of being named Cotswold Life Food and Drink Independent Retailer of the Year!

It’s been an amazing 2 years since I was made redundant in November 2009, and it just keeps getting better. I know I wouldn’t be able to do this without the support from my fabulous family and my amazing Other Half, my great friends, who are very patient and understanding when we’re not always able to do the social thing, especially in the summer, my Cupcake Angels, Claire and Brenda, who support me in the shop, and of course all my lovely customers and visitors to the shop. Thank you to you all!

The one person I’d love to have been with us when I ran (in 6 inch heels) to collect my award, is my Dad. I know where ever he is he’ll have been watching with pride. Love and miss you Dad xxx

Cirencester Cupcakes named Best Independent Retailer Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards 2011

Louise Land of Cirencester Cupcakes is celebrating after being announced as Best Independent Retailer in the Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards 2011.

380 guests including Matthew Fort, Prue Leith and Adam Henson joined Cotswold Life magazine and 45 finalists, for the ninth annual Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The Cotswold Chef, Rob Rees praised local foodies and spoke about the importance of local produce in the area.

Finalists and winners are chosen through a selection process drawn from public nominations and independent judging.

Judges said “The judges felt Cirencester Cupcakes had a window display that engages with anyone passing. The cupcakes are made using local butter and flour and were delectable to say the least. The passion the owner, Louise Land has for her products is second to none.”

Louise said “I am absolutely over the moon that Cirencester Cupcake has received this prestigious award. We are delighted that the judges recognised the passion and dedication that we put into our cakes and service, to provide a truly memorable cake experience! Thank you so much to all of our wonderful customers who have supported us over the last 18 months”

Louise added “Congratulations to all of the other winners and finalists. It was an amazing night that celebrated the rich and diverse food and drink talent in the Cotswolds.”
