Congratulations Alexa & Mark!

I met Alexa and Mark back in January to chat about their wedding cupcakes for June this year. They had chosen a turquoise, silver and ivory colour theme for their wedding, with calla lilies as their floral decorations. Alexa and Mark were lovely people, and it was evident from their home style that they favoured a clean yet elegant style, and we chose to reflect this in their cupcakes.

In order to create a mixed display of cupcakes on the tower stand, we decided to go for a spilt of regular and bite-size cupcakes. The regular cupcakes were decorated with a turquoise buttercream, that was not too strong as to overpower the display, and topped off with handmade calla lilies, in dark cases. The bite-size cupcakes were baked in silver cases, topped with an ivory buttercream, and a sprinkling of tiny silver dragees.

To top it all off, a friend had created a three tier black and white cake as a wedding gift for Alexa and Mark. I was really pleased with the end result, and think that the cupcakes captured the colour elements of the wedding, and the clean and elegant feel of their livestyle!

Congratulations Alexa and Mark, I wish you all the happiness in the world.
